Planning for the Woodman began in early 2002
it all started in May 2002 with the idea and laying the ground work.
With the keel being laid in St. Catherines in October 2002 when construction started. The John Deer Diesel engines were shipped in from Nova Scotia. The hulls were transported to Port Perry where construction was completed as an authentic Port Perry product.
It was an amazing experience for all those involved to build and breathe life into the Woodman for her maiden voyage August 21, 2003.
